[PART NINE] & Some News
Okay, I'm a little new at this so sorry if I mess this up first go. Because it's been 5 months since the last round even though we haven't been busy. I figured I might as well earn my keep and try to get this place alive again...

IMPORTANT: please DO NOT post prompts about any non-public people as part of a prompt. for example: randi zuckerberg is fine as she is a public figure both on the internet and on facebook itself. priscilla chan is NOT as she is not a public figure.

if you're in doubt, please message the mod or leave a comment in the discussion post.

♥ post requests and responses in the comments to this post.
♥ be respectful.
♥ both a pairing/character AND a prompt/kink must be posted.
♥ one pairing/prompt per comment please.
♥ you are encouraged to try and write a prompt for every request you make.
♥ we are slash, femslash, het, three-and-moresomes etc. friendly. (we are even incest friendly what with some of our characters being twins and all...)
♥ no pairing bashing, OK? no need to wank over ships.
♥ long and short fics welcome. multiple responses encouraged!
♥ please try to refrain from saying 'seconded!' as much as possible.
♥ on RPF: Please disclaim that it is RPF, a work of fiction and in no way related to the actual actors/persons/etc. (i wouldn't even try and discourage RPF from this meme ;))

♥ alphabetize pairings/threesomes/moresomes. (e.g. Eduardo/Mark/Sean etc.)
♥ put [RPF] before RPF prompts. (e.g. [RPF] Andrew/Jesse)
♥ for crossover prompts: "[Crossover], The Social Network Character(s)/Other Character(s), [Fandom]" (e.g. [Crossover], Eduardo/Columbus, [Zombieland])
♥ no "!" in pairings, only in descriptions. (e.g. Eduardo/Mark, FacebookCreator!Eduardo, CFO!Mark)
♥ anyone, everyone, no one? Use "Other." (e.g. Sean/Other)
♥ Please do not repost prompts from earlier rounds
♥ put [GEN] before GEN prompts.

♥ please don't embed. link to images/videos.
♥ no locked material. this includes communities, even if membership is open.
♥ fills can be posted anonymously or not.
♥ fills can be anything: fic, art, vid, fanmix, podfic, etc.
♥ all prompts are open to fills at all times, even if they have been filled in the past or are being currently filled by someone else. multiple fills are positively encouraged; if something appeals to you then do not be put off creating a new fill by the existence of a prior one.
NEW: ♥ PLEASE comment with the first of your fill to the PROMPT and then all future updates as a comment to the FIRST PART of the fill. this makes it easier for both the WIP spreadhseet and for archiving stuff on delicious. it also helps people who are trying to catch up on updates and don't have to look through every fill on the prompt (should it have more than one). thank you.

Hi, right now everyone is working on some changes so hold on new things are coming. In an effort to kick this place back into action, we're doing round 9. In a few days, we'll be setting up a fills post that hopefully will work directly for archiving and an overflow post. Also we'll be doing a friending meme at tsn_km_gather so be looking out for that. I know some of the other mods have plans of their own which will be coming soon.

If you have any questions or ideas that I can help you with, feel free to PM me. I'll be around.

have fun!

THERE WILL BE UNMARKED SPOILERS. enter at your own risk! :D

i know you guys are enjoying this meme and i appreciate that but please can you put the SUBJECT HEADER on your prompt. you would REALLY be helping me out if you could do that. it just saves time for me when i'm trying to tag everything in delicious.

AND PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT repost prompts from parts three, four, five, six, seven, or eight. the delicious is around for people to find prompts they may not have already seen. We know there's been some issues but we're working on it with pinboard. No duplicates from this round either. THANK YOU.

Andrew's had a really bad day and to make things worse, he's pretty sure yet another paparazzo is following him. Ready to call this asshole out, he turns abruptly and maybe sort of ends up throwing his drink in this guy's face (or punches him, or something).

This guy, who is now dripping wet with scalding coffee (OR alternatively some icy drink) on his face and clothes, is most definitely not a gossip rag photographer, but Jesse.

Re: Andrew/Jesse

Does OP want/mind AU?

Re: Andrew/Jesse

Anon who is not the OP thinks an AU would be adorable.

Re: Andrew/Jesse

The spilling coffee makes me think of Notting Hill - am thinking about potential fill...

Re: Andrew/Jesse

PLEASE do one. Cute cute cute.

Fill: Coffee (to go) 1/?, AU

Title from Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" - Anon has not written Andrew/Jess before and hopes this is okay.

Andrew's day was going from bad to worse.

They had been filming until late into the night and now in the few hours that he had to himself before the next night shoot he was being needlessly chased by a photographer who clearly didn't have anything better to do with his life than stalk people.

Andrew's plans for the day were relatively simple, he had a few hours before yet another night shoot and he wanted to try and see some of the real New York that people raved about. Rob had recommended a small, independent tea shop that reminded him of home and Andrew needed a bit of that today. He hadn't expected to be chased from the set by an annoyingly persistent paparazzi who seemed to think that celebrity made it okay to harass people. He hadn't found the tea shop and had instead ended up ordering an overpriced monstrosity from Starbucks that he had ordered to go in order to get away from his pursuer.

Andrew had thought he had lost him in the crowded coffee house but as he turned the corner he felt a hand on his shoulder. Not usually one to lose his temper, Andrew felt the anger bubble in him. Turning quickly and trying to throw off the offending hand he ended up slipping forward and inadvertantly throwing his coffee down the man (although for a brief moment Andrew thought that Karma might actually exist).

Andrew looked up, about to explain to the man that this was how human beings reacted when pushed to their limit, only to realise that the person that had tried to stop him was not the man that had ruined his afternoon off.

"Sorry," the man said, as he tried to pull the sopping t-shirt from his skin, "I think you dropped something."

Andrew looked down at the hand and the man was holding a now slightly damp copy of his Amazing Spiderman script. Andrew felt even worse as he realised that this good samaritan was chasing him not to harass but to help him.

"Thank you," Andrew said. "I'm so sorry about the drink, you must be soaking."

"It's okay." The stranger replied, his smile appearing genuine as he continued. "although I think you should probably stop drinking caffeine if it makes you this jumpy."

Andrew felt his anger and dark mood slip away at the simple joke offered by a stranger. In response the stranger dropped his face shyly and his unruly curls fell in his face.

"I feel like I owe you more than an apology," Andrew said, briefly thinking about what he could offer. A new shirt seemed inadequate when the man had also saved Andrew the embarassment and potential lawsuit of losing the tightly-guarded script for his multi-million pound film.

"Don't worry, it just looked like this might be important." The stranger replied.

"Let me give you my number, you can send me the dry cleaning bill." Andrew said, taking the script from his samaritan. He pulled a pen from his messenger bag and jotted down his cell number on the back of an envelope, trying to hand it to the man. He didn't appear to recognise him but Andrew hoped he wouldn't post the number to twitter or tumblr.

"Don't worry about it."

"Let me give you my number, anyway." Andrew said with a brief smile.

The stranger blushed and Andrew realised belatedly that it appeared he was flirting. He was surprisingly okay with that.

"I'm Andrew, by the way." Andrew said, taking the man's hand and ensuring that there was no misunderstanding now. He was definitely flirting.

"Jesse." The other man replied, his blush deepening. "I...I should go."

And with that Jesse left, leaving Andrew wondering about the man that had turned his fake smile into a genuine grin.

Fill: Coffee (to go) 2/?, AU

Andrew had recounted the tale of his good samaritan to his mother on the phone the day after it happened (as a way of telling her not to worry, he was doing fine) and mentioned it to Emma in passing but he had not expected to hear anything further except for a bill for dry cleaning. He had only a name and his memory of the shy smile and chalked it up to experience.

He was so wrapped up in training and filming that he had nearly forgotten the incident with the coffee when his phone rang almost a week later.

"You should have told me," Jesse said as Andrew answered the phone.

"Hi, Jess." Andrew said as he felt the stress of the day slip away.

"I knew it was too good to be true," Jesse continued, confusing Andrew who wondered if they were having the same conversation. "I didn't think that it would be possible to meet someone accidently on the street and for them to be interested in me."

"You knew, didn't you?" Jesse asked. "I should have been able to tell by the bad acting job."

Just as he was about to protest further Andrew's phone beeped.

"Hang on a minute, Jess." Andrew continued, looking down at his phone to read the text message.

It was a message from his publicist.

Suddenly things started to make more sense.

"Jesse, I'm sorry, I swear I didn't know..."

"I really thought we could have been friends," Jesse said, his voice soft and sorrowful.

Then there was a dial tone and Andrew re-read the message on his phone:

E! Photo Exclusive: Andrew Garfield in talks to with double Oscar nominated writer Jesse Eisenberg

We need to talk, Rupert

Re: Fill: Coffee (to go) 2/?, AU

Omg the cuteness of this already, I can't handle it!! I'm excited for the next part! :)

Re: Fill: Coffee (to go) 2/?, AU

To be honest I didn't expect its gonna be an AU. But this is absolutely adorable...MORE PLZ LOL

Re: Fill: Coffee (to go) 2/?, AU

Adorable! What will angry/sad Jesse do to Andrew?

Re: Fill: Coffee (to go) 2/?, AU

yee, I definitely want more of this :DD

Fill: Coffee (to go) 3/?, AU

Andrew wanted to call Jesse back straight away to try and explain that it really had been coincidence, or perhaps fate, that had brought them together and not a carefully orchestrated plot to arrange a meeting (because Andrew really wasn't capable of such deviousness) but instead of calling him he had to speak to Rupert.

Andrew's publicist kept him on the phone for two hours, conferencing in his manager and PA at one point, to berate Andrew for not involving them in his career decisions. Andrew had tried (and failed) to explain that it was a chance meeting, that there were probably actors and writers on every street corner when filming so close to Broadway, but they didn't believe him.

Andrew was starting to believe that Jesse was right, that he was obviously a bad actor if he couldn't even get his own staff to believe him. He paid Rupert and his team well for looking after him and his interests but sometimes he wondered if he had handed over too much control when it came to his life since he had come out to Hollywood.

One film had become two, then three, then a franchise and Andrew barely had time to think about what he was doing before arriving on another set. He was excited about Spiderman, a role he had wanted to play since he was five, but really he wondered if this was the right thing for him - to have three people that had more input into his life than he did. That berated him for even trying to get a coffee by himself if it lead to this type of media disaster.

"Because really, Andrew," Rupert had pointed out mid-rant, "there are people that can do these things for you, which will mean that you don't get yourself into such shit-storms!"

By the time Andrew had come off the phone, placating his publicist with an agreement to have dinner with Emma and ensure they were seen by the paparazzi, he wasn't sure how to speak to Jesse without sounding like an idiot.

As the day wore on, Andrew started to focus on his pages for the day but couldn't stop thinking about Jesse's accusations. Pulling out his laptop, he opened a new window and typed Jesse Eisenberg into Google. As he saw the pages and pages appear, nods to Jesse's early work in television and then moving to plays and movies, he started to get an idea of just who he was dealing with. There were comments from those that had worked with him that talked about the genius and aloofness of Jesse Eisenberg, and Andrew wondered if this put some context to Jesse' mistrust.

Just as Andrew was about to open the third page of google returns, his phone started to ring.

Re: Fill: Coffee (to go) 3/?, AU

ahhh, Andrew googling Jesse. and people not believing him when he says he honestly didn't know who he was, ahaha.

Anon Filler....

I've posted another part, but it's not appearing. Will try to repost if it doesn't show up tonight.

Fill: Coffee (to go) 4/?, AU

Switching to Jesse' POV. Justin is Justin Bartha who, fair warning, anon knows little about.

Jesse had been so angry when he saw the article on E!Online, realising that the accidental meeting was a set up. The anger had subsided into panic when he realised that his name, a name that he tried so hard to keep out of the press, was now going to be associated with not only a Hollywood star but one attached to a Blockbuster franchise.

He hadn't told anyone about the odd meeting, choosing instead to channel the feelings it evoked into a more creative outlet than gossip. It had led to a potential scene for his new screen play (as well as some embarassing poetry stanzas that he was not going to share with anyone).

The article caused an end to that creativity; to any creativity as Jesse struggled to breathe with the enormity of the potential fallout.

He had still been feeling a mixture of anger and panic when he called Andrew.

"I really thought we could have been friends," Jesse had told Andrew, thinking of what might have been as he spoke to him for what he promised himself would be the last time.

Jesse thought that should have been an end to it. His business manager assured him that the story would be nothing more than a passing comment for a few more weeks that would die down completely when the hype for Andrew's new movie started.

Jesse's anxiety levels remained raised for a few days after the phone call but he was starting to breathe more easily; the only lasting damage was the writer's block that appeared to have stayed.

In a moment of frustration, Jesse found himself calling Justin to discuss the evils of Hollywood from someone else that he knew understood.

"I'm surprised you have time for me now that you're out meeting superheroes," Justin said as he answered his phone. "Was he amazing?"

"Given that he orchestrated the meeting for publicity, I think he's an asshole." Jesse replied.

"You think it was a set up?"

"You don't?" Jesse retorted. "It seems awfully convenient that he should just happen to leave his script in the path of a writer who is..was working on a screenplay."

"A little like a writer and actor meeting at an audition and then randomly sitting next to each other on a plane a year later?" Justin asked.

Jesse paused, thinking of his own meeting with his now best friend and wondering if this could be another co-incidence. Jesse thought back to the phone call that he had made to Andrew, to Andrew's vehement protest that he hadn't known who Jesse was and his own accusations that Andrew was a bad actor.

"Whatever it was, it's over." Jesse replied finally. There was no way that Andrew would want to hear from him after that.

"Really?" Justin asked. "If it's over, then why is it still bothering you so much?"

Jesse sighed.

"It's been a while since you were with anyone," Justin said. "And you have to admit, he's pretty cute. I can reach out to some friends, maybe get in contact with him.."

Jesse took a deep breath as he felt the onset of a panic attack at the thought of Justin calling his agent and trying to get Andrew Garfield's number.

"He already gave me his number," Jesse said.

"Then he's definitely interested." Justin assured him.

"I told him he was a bad actor." Jesse added, his voice barely above a whisper as he mentioned it.

"You told me that nearly every night when we were doing Asuncion."

"You weren't quite getting Vinnie; he thought he was a lot better than he probably was."

"He's the opposite to you then." Justin replied seriously. "Why do you always doubt yourself, Jesse? You always think the worst in people - you immediately assumed that this guy must want something from you rather than thinking that he might really be interested. You should give him a chance."

Justin didn't push anymore, instead turning the conversation to work and mutual friends, but the seed of the idea stayed with Jesse long after they had hung up.

He shouldn't have been surprised when he picked up his phone later that night.
