sorry about the delay in getting this up! please put all new prompts here.

IMPORTANT: please DO NOT post prompts about any non-public people as part of a prompt. for example: randi zuckerberg is fine as she is a public figure both on the internet and on facebook itself. priscilla chan is NOT as she is not a public figure.

if you're in doubt, please message the mod or leave a comment in the discussion post.

♥ post requests and responses in the comments to this post.
♥ be respectful.
♥ both a pairing/character AND a prompt/kink must be posted.
♥ one pairing/prompt per comment please.
♥ you are encouraged to try and write a prompt for every request you make.
♥ we are slash, femslash, het, three-and-moresomes etc. friendly. (we are even incest friendly what with some of our characters being twins and all...)
♥ no pairing bashing, OK? no need to wank over ships.
♥ long and short fics welcome. multiple responses encouraged!
♥ please try to refrain from saying 'seconded!' as much as possible.
♥ on RPF: Please disclaim that it is RPF, a work of fiction and in no way related to the actual actors/persons/etc. (i wouldn't even try and discourage RPF from this meme ;))

♥ alphabetize pairings/threesomes/moresomes. (e.g. Eduardo/Mark/Sean etc.)
♥ put [RPF] before RPF prompts. (e.g. [RPF] Andrew/Jesse)
♥ for crossover prompts: "[Crossover], The Social Network Character(s)/Other Character(s), [Fandom]" (e.g. [Crossover], Eduardo/Columbus, [Zombieland])
♥ no "!" in pairings, only in descriptions. (e.g. Eduardo/Mark, FacebookCreator!Eduardo, CFO!Mark)
♥ anyone, everyone, no one? Use "Other." (e.g. Sean/Other)
♥ put [GEN] before GEN prompts.

♥ please don't embed. link to images/videos.
♥ no locked material. this includes communities, even if membership is open.
♥ fills can be posted anonymously or not.
♥ fills can be anything: fic, art, vid, fanmix, podfic, etc.
♥ all prompts are open to fills at all times, even if they have been filled in the past or are being currently filled by someone else. multiple fills are positively encouraged; if something appeals to you then do not be put off creating a new fill by the existence of a prior one.
NEW: ♥ PLEASE comment with the first of your fill to the PROMPT and then all future updates as a comment to the FIRST PART of the fill. this makes it easier for both the WIP spreadhseet and for archiving stuff on delicious. it also helps people who are trying to catch up on updates and don't have to look through every fill on the prompt (should it have more than one). thank you.

have fun!

THERE WILL BE UNMARKED SPOILERS. enter at your own risk! :D

i know you guys are enjoying this meme and i appreciate that but please can you put the SUBJECT HEADER on your prompt. you would REALLY be helping me out if you could do that. it just saves time for me when i'm trying to tag everything in delicious.

AND PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT repost prompts from parts three, four, five or six over here again. the delicious is around for people to find prompts they may not have already seen. (prompts for parts one and two are now up for reposting.)

Chris/Dustin or Eduardo/Mark

something based on adele's someone like you lyrics:

I hate to turn up out of the blue
But I couldn't stay away
I couldn't fight it
I'd hoped you'd see my face
And that you'd be reminded
That for me
It isn't over

Never mind I'll find
Someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you
Too.. Don't forget me
I beg
I remember you said
Sometimes it lasts in love
But sometimes it hurts instead
Sometimes it lasts in love
But sometimes it hurts instead

Nothing compares
No worries, or cares
Regrets and mistakes
They're memories made
Who would have known.. How..
This would taste

our glory days (or three people mark lost) 1/3

i needed a break from wallowing in self pity.

Chris leans against the counter and takes in Mark’s profile.

He looks smaller, somehow. Less sure and confident than he did when Chris was still working for Facebook. It’s a startling change but not one Chris lets himself dwell on for too long. If Mark’s here, it’s for a reason and Chris thinks he knows what it is.

“I heard you married,” Mark says slowly, like he’s picking his words carefully.

Chris didn’t send him an invitation; he wouldn’t have shown up. Dustin and Eduardo attended, dull around the edges and less exuberant than they used to be and there was a distance between the three of them that Chris couldn’t shake. He had been glad Mark hadn’t been there. Losing that connection with Mark would have felt altogether different, harder to take.

Dustin has been bad enough; the downturn of his mouth and the way he’d tried to congratulate Chris with a look of disappointment and regret. Chris hadn’t asked and it felt better than remembering days when their bodies had been entwined and they had kissed with too much alcohol and not enough love.

“Sean,” Chris supplies, when Mark starts to flounder for a name. “And yes. He’s good for me.”

“You’re good for him,” Mark says, harshly and Chris is surprised. He raises an eyebrow but Mark just stares back defiantly. Chris is just glad he didn’t say too good for Sean. “He’s lucky.”

Chris is grateful but he doesn’t know what Mark’s asking for. “Why are you here, Mark?”

Mark’s mouth goes slack and his hands rest on his knees, like he’s not quite sure what to do with them. Chris gets a little shrug for his troubles, the one he always hated in Harvard. It’s the fuck you shrug and Chris knows he’s not going to get an answer worth anything.

“If it’s Eduardo-”

“No,” Mark says, quietly. He rubs at his knee and looks around Chris’ apartment, apparently cataloguing everything he sees. “It’s not Eduardo.”

There’s a beat and Chris flounders for something to say.

“I just – thanks. I should go.”

Chris frowns but he thinks he gets it. He always could read the lines of Mark’s body better than anyone save Eduardo. “Are you sick?”

Mark snorts. “No. Growing up,” he says, carefully. At Chris’ raised eyebrow he smirks. “You used to tell me to watch what I said.”

“I didn’t think you listened,” Chris said, honestly.

“I’m not the same guy who made Facemash,” Mark snaps.

No, Chris thinks. You used to have friends who mattered. He doesn’t say it aloud because he and Mark have hurt each other too much already and this Mark, the Mark who’s made the effort to come to Chris, deserves better.

“Are you,” Mark asks, mouth twisting into an undefined emotion, “happy?”

Chris thinks honestly about the answer and then tilts his head. “I am, Mark. I really am.”

Mark nods, satisfied and stands. Chris rounds the counter and lays a hand on his arm. He squeezes gently.

“I’m better for knowing you, Mark. Don’t forget that.”

Mark says nothing but he nods tightly, and when he moves to leave, his hand brushes against Chris for a short moment.

Dustin is drunk.

Mark’s an awesome blur in the corner of his vision and he tries to ignore the expression on his face. Dustin’s not been around Mark in forever but you never forget how to deal with him once you’ve started. He smirks. “What brings Mark Zuckerberg to the Moskovitz manor?”

It’s actually an apartment that’s too good for Dustin and yet not enough. There are too many memories and not enough room for them all. Pictures and scattered spreadsheets and Dustin absently kicks at the laptop under the table.

“I’d offer you a coding session but I’d be afraid to kick your ass, even drunk.”

Mark just raises an eyebrow and Dustin wants to tell him to fuck off. What does he know, anyway? He can’t judge Dustin for this. He can’t judge anybody. He let them go – he let them walk out like they hadn’t meant anything. Dustin knew it was time to go, couldn’t stand to be around the office when there was just him and Mark – even if it was like the old days. Chris and Eduardo had been there, though. Dustin had lived with them and around them and Facebook wasn’t the same. He’d had to leave or burn out and Mark deserved better.

“Want a beer?” Mark asks, looking around for an unopened bottle.

Dustin waves a hand because it’s not like Mark won’t just take it anyway. Mark tilts his head a little and Dustin thinks, he’s changed. He doesn’t know how he knows but he’s been Mark’s best friend for years and there’s nobody – well, maybe Chris and Eduardo – who knows him as well as Dustin. “Why are you here?”

Mark smirks. “Chris asked that.”

Chris. “You spoke to Chris?”

Mark nods and takes a long drink from the bottle. Dustin can’t tear his eyes away from Mark’s face. “He’s happy.”

“Yeah,” Dustin says, absently. Chris is married. He knows Obama. He’s happy and he’s making something of his life and what does Dustin have to show? A crush that couldn’t go anywhere and a company he has shares in but doesn’t work for anymore.

When Mark asks, “Are you happy?” Dustin doesn’t know how to say no. He shrugs instead and grabs Mark’s beer for himself.

From the way Mark looks at him afterwards, he may as well have shouted it for the whole of Silicon Valley to hear.

our glory days (or three people mark lost) 3/3

Eduardo presses his forehead against the door and thinks, shit.

He doesn’t want to let Mark in. He’s – he’s getting on with it. He’s got a life for himself and he knows if he opens the door, he’s going to let it all back in and he won’t escape. He doesn’t think he can set himself up for that again. Losing Mark had hurt, more than he ever expected it could and he doesn’t want to have to lose him again. It’s inevitable, really, but-

“Wardo,” Mark says, against the door. Eduardo imagines him pressing his own forehead against the wood and almost snorts at the image. Mark would never- “Are you happy?”

Startled by the question, Eduardo feels his hand curl into a fist. He opens his mouth but doesn’t know what to say. Mark’s never asked. Mark’s never looked like he cares enough to ask. It’s a question that Eduardo would put to Mark and Eduardo doesn’t know what to do. There’s a thump and something slides against the door and Eduardo imagines Mark sitting with his face to the street. Eduardo crouches down, sees the shadows play under the door and blinks.

There’s a soft noise and then, “Wardo. I went to see Dustin and Chris. They couldn’t – they couldn’t do it, Wardo, and I need to know.”

Eduardo closes his own eyes and shifts on his feet, turns to face his apartment and presses his back against the door. It’s easy to imagine Mark doing the same and he wonders what they can say now, with only wood between them. Mark says, “I want you to know that-“ and Eduardo has to cut across him because he doesn’t care.

“Shut up, Mark.”

Sometimes, it’s enough to know Mark’s sitting out there, waiting for Eduardo to be ready. Eduardo needs a moment; needs several. Mark wants to know if he’s happy and Eduardo doesn’t know what to say. No. Yes. I need you. There’s nothing and everything to say.

There’s an answering thump and then, “Yeah,” like they have all the time in the world.

First two were sad because there was this emptiness and distance but the last one, ahhhh, stole my heart. Totally classic.
