sorry about the delay in getting this up! please put all new prompts here.

IMPORTANT: please DO NOT post prompts about any non-public people as part of a prompt. for example: randi zuckerberg is fine as she is a public figure both on the internet and on facebook itself. priscilla chan is NOT as she is not a public figure.

if you're in doubt, please message the mod or leave a comment in the discussion post.

♥ post requests and responses in the comments to this post.

i know you guys are enjoying this meme and i appreciate that but please can you put the SUBJECT HEADER on your prompt. you would REALLY be helping me out if you could do that. it just saves time for me when i'm trying to tag everything in delicious.

AND PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT repost prompts from parts three, four, five or six over here again. the delicious is around for people to find prompts they may not have already seen. (prompts for parts one and two are now up for reposting.)

Mark/Eduardo or Andrew/Jesse

Hey lovely fandom,

Honestly, I'm rather sad about something right now and desperately in need of a comedic/cute fic. I don't even have a scenario, just please write me something.

Um, maybe the 5 crazy things Eduardo did to get to Mark to be more human (like take a shower, sleep, eat, etc).

Also: the 5 unexpected things that Andrew does without knowing it that Jesse absolutely loves?

Thank you

FILL: your rocky spine 1/5

This is more like...5 things Andrew does without thinking about it that Jesse loves. I hope you enjoy it and feel better!

Andrew is always, constantly touching Jesse. A hand on his shoulder, brushing his thumb against Jesse's cheek, tangling their legs together in the bed. It's kind of like he can't even help it; Jesse's inclined to think he can't. Like he has some sort of Jesse-touching quota that he has to fill every time they are together. He always has to be within touching distance, even if the touch only ends up being slight, their thighs brushing together while sitting adjacent on a couch. This is not really something new, considering it happened even before they were actually together, but it is something that Jesse has grown to appreciate more and more during their time together.

Andrew is sitting on the (their) couch, his morning bedhead still a ridiculous sight and his plaid pajama pants slung low on his hips still, well - a little less ridiculous. He makes a noise of appreciation when he sees Jesse walk out of the kitchen with two mugs of hot tea in his hands.

"You are so lovely, Jesse Eisenberg," he beams as Jesse hands him the white and blue Is It Caturday Yet? cup full of orange blossom herbal.

Jesse shrugs and smiles, settles down onto the other end of the couch. He is about to pick up his book from the end table and begin reading when he hears Andrew's small grunt of frustration and the sound of his cup being placed on the coffee table.

The next thing he knows, Jesse is being hauled over, closer to the other side of the couch with his tea sloshing dangerously about the rim of his cup.

"Hey!" he protests as Andrew settles back against the cushions with a small smile on his face. One of his arms is slung over Jesse's shoulders and they are pressed together all down their sides.

Andrew shrugs, "you were too far away."

"I could have spilled hot tea everywhere," he says. "I could have become impotent."

Andrew laughs, head thrown back.

"Well, we wouldn't want that, would we?" he leers.

Jesse blushes.

"Well, next time just tell me to move over so you can indulge your strange need to constantly be in contact with everyone around you," he teases.

"Not everyone, Jesse," Andrew's eyes go soft, the corners of his mouth quirked up into a smile. "Only you."

Jesse's heart stutters for a second. He leans into Andrew's side and sighs happily when he feels Andrew smiling against his curls.

The first time Andrew called Jesse Jess was during some of the earlier parts of filming The Social Network. They had been up for too many hours, doing take after take of the same scenes and trying to make each one better, more intense than the last. When Fincher finally wrapped for the night, Andrew flung an arm around Jesse and pulled him close.

"Let's go home, Jess," he said. His voice was tired and thin, still laced with affection.

Jesse tried not to make a lot of it. But no one in his life had ever really called him Jess. It had always felt too personal, too intimate for the majority of the people to ever call him. He thought, he didn't mind too much if Andrew called him that. He didn't correct him.

And now when Andrew calls him Jess, it's simply the way things are. It's nothing new anymore but it still gives Jesse a quiet thrill, a feeling of comfort and belonging. He remembers cold nights on set, months of longing, and the insurmountable feeling of want when Andrew had said, "Jess, can I kiss you?" And that name, that shortened version of his name that sounds so right coming from Andrew, sounds like affection and promises and longing, will never fail to make Jesse feel like this is something he deserves.

So when Andrew comes padding down the hallway wearing one of Jesse's stolen hoodies and some boxer shorts and says, "Jess, let's go to bed, love," Jesse lets the soft smile spread on his face, doesn't try to tamp down the emotion in his voice when he says, "You make me so happy."

Andrew looks at him with a fond grin of his own. He reaches a hand out to help Jesse off the couch and pulls him into a hug as soon as he's standing.

"I'm glad, Jess," his voice is muffled against Jesse's neck, hands curling into the thin fabric of the t-shirt covering his back. "I hope I always do."

Andrew loves the cats. And not only that, but he gets Jesse's love for the cats. This is such a small blip on the spectrum of everything that Andrew does and has done for Jesse, but it is infinitely important.

When Marisol escapes into the hallways of the apartment building, it's Andrew who jumps right into action and begins searching high and low for the six year old calico rescue while Jesse stays back to make sure that his other two cats are still safe in the confines of his own apartment.

Andrew comes back fifteen minutes later with a pretty vicious scratch decorating his right hand and Marisol squirming and huffing in his arms.

"I don't think she likes me very much," Andrew says as he sets her down onto the carpet. She darts quickly away to hide under the couch and seethe.

"We should clean up your hand," Jesse says, carefully taking Andrew's wrist and bringing his hand up to inspect the wound.

"Huh?" Andrew reacts. "Oh, right. Let's go do that, then."

And he says it, just like that. Like he hasn't even noticed that there is a huge scratch on his hand from the cat that he just saved, because he was too busy caring about getting her back into the apartment.

Jesse doesn't know how else to respond to that other than surging up to kiss Andrew, hard, on the lips. Andrew stumbles back a bit but quickly rights himself and kisses back until he begins smiling too much to do so.

"If this is the thanks I get for bringing a cat back into your apartment then I might just have to take on a second job as a professional cat saver," Andrew jokes.

Jesse rolls his eyes but leans back in to give Andrew one more small kiss before leading him to the bathroom to clean up.

So, Andrew most certainly loves Jesse's cats. Which is why, when Jesse comes home with a kitten in tow (the fourth cat in the apartment, if Andrew didn't love him so much he would kill him, Jesse thinks), Andrew simply rolls his eyes in an affectionate way and says, "well what's her name, then?"

Jesse says he doesn't know, that he was thinking that Andrew could give her a name. The kitten is curled up sleepily in Jesse's lap, tail swishing occasionally and ears constantly twitching.

Andrew smiles. "She looks like a bean. That's what I want to call her. Bean."

Jesse snorts out a laugh. "I revoke your right to name this kitten. That is a terrible, undignified name."

Andrew sticks out his tongue childishly and scratches behind the kitten's ears.

"Fine, fine. I'll come up with something better. Just give me a bit."

But later, when Jesse is exiting the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn in his hands, he is greeted with a sight in the living room that makes him pause. Andrew is lying on his back on the carpet with the new kitten sitting squarely in the middle of his chest. He is petting her head with his index finger and saying, "who's a little Bean? Is that you? Mean old Jesse doesn't like that name, but I know that you're a Bean, yes you are!" The kitten mewls softly and walks a little circle on Andrew's chest before lying down and curling into herself.

So maybe she does look a little like a bean. Jesse tries to walk as casually as possible to the couch. He sits down and looks purposefully at Andrew.

"Why don't you and, uh, Bean come sit up here?" he bites his lip and motions at the space next to him.

Andrew's eyes get brighter, his mouth turning upward into a blinding smile.

"Bean and I would be honored to come sit next to you, Jesse Eisenberg."

Jesse doesn't try to stop the goofy grin from taking over his face. He doesn't want to.

Andrew always, without question, leaves his brown and yellow plaid button down shirt at Jesse's apartment whenever he has to leave to be on another part of the globe. Jesse loves this. He loves that it always smells like Andrew, spicy and earthy like autumn leaves, and that its sleeves go down almost to the tips of Jesse's fingers. It's second best to having Andrew there to wrap himself around Jesse in person.

It started when Andrew had left it there on accident one time. Jesse found it in his bed, a small bit of Andrew left there to tide Jesse over for the four weeks until they saw one another again. He had put it on to go to sleep, and did that almost every night until Andrew returned. He washed it and folded it, placing it at the end of his bed but kind of hoping that Andrew would forget about it again.

Andrew noticed the shirt as soon as he had walked into the bedroom.

"My shirt!" he exclaimed. "I was wondering where it had gotten off to."

Like he didn't have about ten billion other plaid shirts stuffed inside his suitcase right then.

Jesse nodded slowly. "Yeah, you left it. I washed it for you and everything."

Andrew had given him a knowing look, but let the subject drop. When he left that next time, though, the shirt was left lying in Jesse's bed with a pink post-it note stuck to the collar. Think of me! -A. Jesse had smiled, breathed in the fabric. Andrew had worn it the night before and it smelled so much like him. Jesse's heart had ached in a way that he couldn't really describe.

So that is their routine now. Andrew will always wear the shirt at least once when he is at Jesse's, and leave it sitting on the bed when he leaves. They never really talk about it, but they don't have to. The thing is, Jesse thinks, that Andrew never even second-guesses himself about it. He never asks Jesse if he wants (or needs) Andrew to leave the shirt there when he goes away; he just seems to know without ever giving it much thought. Jesse kind of loves that Andrew gets him like that.

They don't really talk about these things, don't talk about leaving a shirt, or what it means when Andrew starts staying for increasingly longer intervals of times, begins to leave a toothbrush in the bathroom, a drawer full of boxer-briefs. They don't talk about it until Andrew mentions that he should probably just have a key, instead of making Jesse wait up for all hours of the night when he has ridiculous flight times.

And even then all Jesse says is, "Yes." Just yes. And Andrew? He gets it.

FILL: your rocky spine 5/5

Andrew loves Jesse like he was born to do it. He does it like it's a job he's getting paid handsomely to perform. He does it even when Jesse makes himself unlovable.

("You're never unlovable, Jess," Andrew says to him once. "There will never be a time when I don't love you.")

When Jesse is feeling particularly anxious, the kind of anxious where he doesn't know if he can get out of bed, where he doesn't know if he can even remember how to breathe properly, Andrew still loves him. He holds him, if he wants to be held. But more importantly, he leaves him alone if he knows that's what Jesse needs. He can read Jesse, tell when he is pushing him away because he doesn't want to burden him from when he is pushing him away because he really just needs to be alone. Andrew never pretends that he knows what's best for Jesse. When need be, he lets Jesse stay in the bedroom with the shades drawn all day long, only coming in to make sure there is nothing that Jesse needs.

("It kills me to let you stay in here alone when you're feeling like this, Jess, but I know that you want it, that you need it sometimes and I'm not going to fight with you about that. I'm right around the corner if you need me for anything.")

Andrew likes to tell people that he fell in love with Jesse as soon as he met him. He tells Jesse, that statement has never been false. He looks at Jesse like he hung all the stars in the sky, like he created the whole world just so that he and Andrew would have a beautiful place to be together.

Jesse once spent time hoping that Andrew would realize that Jesse feels the same exact way. He used to be afraid that Andrew wouldn't realize that Jesse's brand of showing love was nothing like his. He doesn't have to hope anymore; he knows that Andrew can tell. They can both tell, in the way that they spend their days together inside, reading and petting cats and kissing like teenagers on the living room couch. In the way that Jesse makes tea in the morning and Andrew never has to tell him how he likes it. In the way that they move together on Jesse's bed, sweet kisses and drawn-out moans while Andrew thruststhruststhrusts and chokes out I love you so much when he comes, Jesse only seconds behind.

It's in the way that Andrew holds his hand, whispers "Jess," with a smile, never forgets to say hello to the cats, and still wants Jesse to wear that silly shirt to bed, even now that he is nearly a permanent fixture in the apartment. It's in the way that Andrew is Andrew and it's like it's second nature to love Jesse. It's like he never even had to think about it.

I hope you liked it, and I really hope you're feeling better. :)

Re: FILL: your rocky spine 5/5

This was amazing! I'm not the OP, but it certainly cheered up my day to read it!

Re: FILL: your rocky spine 5/5

Wonderful writing :) It definately cheered and brightened my day up even though I'm not the OP. I like how this is quiet and romantic... I absolutely adore the way Andrew seems to exist just to love Jesse. I'm bookmarking this to read again on a rainy day.

Thanks for writing this!

OP here! (It's sort exciting to be able to say that. :))

Hey, anon,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this adorable and warm fic. It cheered me up a lot although my situation could be better; (there are more than one people involved and time will make things a little lighter, at least that's what I'm hoping). Again, you're sweet for taking up my prompt. I appreciate it.

Re: FILL: your rocky spine 5/5

This is one of the sweetest things I've EVER read. Really, it's just lovely. I can really feel the love between them, and it feels so honest and true. Beautifully done.

Re: FILL: your rocky spine 5/5

Oh my heart. ♥__♥

Re: FILL: your rocky spine 5/5

beautiful ♥

Re: FILL: your rocky spine 5/5

This is so sweet. It's just. Chocolate and whipped cream and vanilla ice cream and mint sauce. All the sweetness ever.

I'm sitting here just grinning like a fool right now.

It's such a quiet piece, but so well-written, and it feels so very, very Jesse and Andrew that you can't help but think this is how it is for real. It's kind of hard to reach that level of realism, so. Kudos.

I love it. Andrew's shirt and Bean and almost spilling Jesse's tea to get him near and whispering Jess in his ear. All the things they do to show love are very different, but with just as much feeling behind them. (Like, oh, I don't know. Jesse stuttering to get one 'I love him' out while Andrew says it at any available opportunity. Different, but with feeling equivalence.)

Gorgeous, this is. I want to read stuff like it forever and ever. ♥
